WEED WRANGLE AND TREE PLANTING AT MCCABE PARK
March 2 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
RCWA is hosting a tree planting and invasive plant removal in honor of 250K Tree Day and Weed Wrangle! Help us restore Richland Creek habitats by signing up to volunteer with this link! We’ll be planting trees and removing invasive ground cover from habitats so the old trees can survive. RCWA will provide tools and supplies, but feel free to bring work gloves, tools, and especially a water bottle! Wear closed toe shoes, long pants, and long sleeves.
Park at the Wyoming Trailhead located on the corner of 51st and Wyoming Avenues, or even better, find a safe place to park along Wyoming Avenue. Please do not block driveways or traffic when parking on the street. Then take a short walk on the Greenway to the work site, as shown on the map below.
We’ll provide tools and supplies, but feel free to bring work gloves, tools, and especially a water bottle! Wear closed toe shoes, long pants, and long sleeves. Thank you to our volunteer partners at Greenways for Nashville and Hands on Nashville!
